Inna Shevchenko is the leader of Femen, a notorious group of Ukranian activists, fighting patriarchy in all its forms. They describe their work as ‘Sextremism’ which goes some way to capture the anarchic spirit of the organisation. They’ve ‘topless ambushed’ Putin, chopped down monuments and organised large scale demos across the world. A bold and controversial group, they’ve now acquired a long list of political enemies. Consequently, Inna is currently seeking asylum in Paris and the Femen organisation as a whole has been forced out of their native home in Kiev. We are honored to host her first lecture on UK soil, and she’ll be talking about the groups journey so far.
