In his fantastically frantic talk Wynd argues the case for ‘mess’ and how out of mess you get beautiful things. So it is perhaps befitting that Wynd’s delightful and vast collection of mess (or rather his shop) is being converted into a museum. Viktor Wynd is The Chancellor of The Last Tuesday Society, an artist, impressario, collector, dealer, writer, orchid & fern enthusiast and the macabre mind behind one of London’s strangest collections. Hackney residents may well have passed his ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ which displays and sells everything from two headed kittens to shrunken heads (yep, real ones). He’s just released a book, which has been deemed “An insanely delightful how-to guide on becoming mentally ill”.
