The Lost Lectures

Curiosity Kino

It is our great pleasure to bring in the new season with a scintillating spectacle of cinematic proportions as Lost Lectures presents ‘Curiosity Kino’. On April 13th we will be rolling out the red carpet and inviting you into a relic of London’s past, a vast cinema, reopened after 30 long years, that through its faded facade, screams art-deco decadence like nowhere else. It truly is quite something to behold.

Expect all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood premier: red carpet, roaming paparazzi, scintillating speeches as well as a mind-expanding mix of talks, music, character actors, popcorn sellers and curious cocktails. We’ll be juxtaposing new-school thinking with old-school architecture and getting creative with our cinematic sensibilities.

We invite guests to dress up glam: dicky bows, hats, dresses and jackets are firmly encouraged (though not required) while casual clothing, although totally acceptable, won’t be winning Oscars for originality. Expect the usual Lost blend of science, art, culture, current affairs, music and mayhem as we return to what we do best at an all-singing, all-dancing one-off spectacular.

Doors open at 7.00pm with talks starting at 7.30pm. The show will finish before 11pm.

Location will be announced a few days prior to the event via email. The location is in Zone 2 and easily accessible from Central London locations: you can get there in around half an hour from Oxford Circus.

The venue is wheelchair accessible but due to the nature of the space, we ask that those with accessibility requirements get in touch with us before the show. Please email us at team@lostlectures.com ahead of the event.

Please note that we are unable to offer refunds on tickets purchased.
